Kelley MacQueen has led spin classes since 2003 at MacQueen's as well as her fair share of cycling tours in PEI and Cuba. She's completed an ICS Fitness and Nutrition course, is a CanFitPro certified Fitness Instructor Specialist and is a certified spin instructor through Johnny G, Madd Dog Athletics. Throughout the season, Kelley will take each participant thru all the Heart Zones. The first week of each month, Cardio Tests are the thing to do in her classes. This shows us how far we can come from day one at the studio!
Kelley offers coaching early morning and noontime sessions. She really enjoys the social aspect of spinning and looks forward every year to involvement in this winter business endeavour. When you phone DO-U-BIKE (368-2453) to book your session, it will be her on the other end.
Amie Ceron moved to PEI from London, Ontario in 2009. She has been active in the Wellness Industry for almost 15 years. She has several certifications which include Personal Training through American Council on Exercise and Can Fit Pro. She is a certified Spin instructor through Body Training Systems. She has training in Pre and post natal fitness and Kinesis. On top of that, she is a Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist.
Amie enjoys motivating and pushing people to their limits as a spin instructor at Mac Queen Indoor Cycling Studio. She is also the Nutrition consultant at Simply for Life. This is a perfect fit for her as she believes that Exercise and Nutrition go hand in hand. What you eat will determine the results you get from your exercise. Having a perfect balance of the two can make a huge impact on your overall health and wellness.
Marian is now into her 9th season of coaching Spin at MacQueen's. She is an avid rider. She is known for adventure riding, she decided to not only do the tip-2-tip west to east for the Bicycling for Breakfast crowd, she also conquered it east to west the very next day. She takes you on hills, sprint, endurance rides with POWER like you've yet to experience. Never a dull moment in her class. Come try her out after work, or Saturday morning for the longer endurance ride. Or cross-train with Marian and run a Marathon this year!
Bria is the newest indoor cycling coach at MacQueens. Originally from Charlottetown, she took up triathlon while living in Halifax for law school and became a certified Schwinn Indoor Cycling Coach in the fall of 2011. Bria is passionate about triathlon and cycling, and has competed in races ranging in distance from sprint to half ironman. She brings her road cycling know-how to the indoor studio with the goal of building fitness through the winter that her class participants can bring outside in the spring. Bria's Friday morning class will get you fired up for the weekend! With her background in dietetics, you might even pick up some nutrition tips too!
At MacQueen's clothes aren't optional. Thought this photo may entice you all to come work out a bit harder this year in case clothes ever become 'optional'! Can you imagine???
